Arrive in Xi'an - the capital of 11 dynasties over a period of more than 4,000 years. Here awaiting you is the Army of Terracotta Warriors that lay hidden from history for 2,200 years! Then off you fly to Shanghai where the entire cache of ancient history thus far is entirely offset by the "other China" sights...reflected in Shanghai's unique mix of East-meets-West and Old-meets-New...and a city making progress in a very "in-your-face" way.
